Dress Codes & Uniforms
With the beginning of the 2002-2003 school year CAPS has implemented a mandatory uniform shirt policy for all grade levels. The shirts are available from "Oma" at Casa Phoenix. Polo shirts are available for ANG 25. P.E. shirts are available for ANG 12.50. Children that come to school without their uniform and appropriate excuse will be send home to change or dressed in a uniform at school. The parent will be billed for the uniform.
SHOES: Shoes must be worn. Shoes, sneakers, sandals or other appropriate footwear must be in good condition and have no holes or rips. Rubber flip-flops and beach shoes may not be worn.
PANTS/SLACKS: Long pants, slacks and jeans may be worn to school. Sweat pants and warm up pants may not be worn.
SHORTS: Students may wear shorts to school. Shorts must reach mid-thigh level. Gym shorts, jams, cut-offs, bicycle shorts or other styles associated with leisure activities are not permitted
SKIRTS: All skirts must reach at least thigh level.
SHIRTS: School issued shirts are to be worn. Specific exceptions will be announced.
P.E.: Students must wear a uniform of a white t-shirt (CAPS P.E. t-shirts are available from "Oma" at Casa Phoenix), blue or black shorts, and sneakers for P.E. classes. Failure in doing so will result in a lower grade.
Philosophical Basis: CAPS believes there is a direct correlation between the quality of appearance and a sound educational program.
Responsibilities: Students are expected to come to school appropriately dressed and groomed. The key to proper appearance is MODESTY AND NEATNESS. If your apparel does not fall within the dress code guidelines or if attire is distracting, immodest, or too casual for the educational setting, you will be referred to the office for disciplinary action. Continued violations will prohibit you from attending class until appropriate clothing is obtained or brought from home.
